Bowlers Graham and Tim team up for pairs success

Social bowls is played on Friday afternoons.

Bowlers have begun to return to the rinks at the same time that the weather has started to warm up.

Some serious bowls has been played at Riverside Sports Club, including the men’s and ladies’ pairs club championships.

Men’s winners were Graham Dunlop and Tim Woolley, from Nico van Niekerk and Stefan Helberg.

Ladies winners were Maureen Muller and Beth Trusler, from Pauline Dunlop and Sandy van Niekerk.

The Tiago’s men’s trips, played at Southbroom Bowling Club, was won by Dieter Scholz, Ian Hutton and Neale Cary-Smith.

Runners-up were Vernon Clements, Nico Mantoan and Wynand Bezuidenhout.

First session went to Steve Rennie, John Keppler and Andreas van der Linde.

Second session to Gary Hess, Mervyn Barratt and Carl Volker.

Southport BC members are also back on the greens.

The Captain’s Anchor sponsored mixed pairs was won by Keith Mills and Astrid Jackson.

Second place went to Richard Cochman and Rosemarie Ludwig with the session going to Yvonne James and Peter Anderson.
