Tweni junior Jaden set for tennis test

Members wish Jaden Jesson all the best for the Junior Tournament at Westridge Park from September 25 to 27. They are sure she will keep Tweni Tennis Club’s flag flying high.

Visitors Wendy Smith, Sorin and Tania Dimitriu, Wayne Harthogh and Prevan Moodley joined the regulars last Saturday and the courts were used to capacity.

Dan Dimitiru is thanked for sourcing lovely new chairs for the clubhouse and André Mey for putting in a new net pole on Court 1.

In the tennis club canine unit, Bindi le Roux and Cody Kirton have been joined by newcomer, Meeku Lyall who happily enjoys the ‘oldies’ company.

It is great to have all of them there making the club even more of a family-orientated place to be.

Birthday wishes for the rest of September go to Morgan Reddy on the 19th; Natasha Cotterell on the 22nd and Gerald Bunge on the 30th.

Saturday duty: September 19 – Jean Marx; September 26 – Cathy Kirton.
