Sad week for Scottburgh Golf Club
Brett Rowe was a past captain and a very well liked man.
Scottburgh Golf Club lost one of its long standing members, Brett Rowe. Brett, who died this week, was a past captain and a very well liked man.
His presence in the bar and on the golf course will be sorely missed. Condolences and prayers go out to his wife Carole and all the family.
Wednesday’s competition was the usual betterball Stableford. Winning on 44 points were Thys Swart and his ghost partner.
Coming second the ever present Brian Richards and Hans Beuthe.
Saturdays competition was also a betterball Stableford, sponsored by The Clubhouse Restaurant and The Scottburgh Golf Store.
Winning on 46 points were Pathma Moodley and her partner Jeshika. Coming second on 44 points were young Jack Cubitt with veteran partner Pete Gilliver, who blitzed a quick sub par round.
In third place winning the count out on 43 points were the evergreen Hilton McAuliffe and Shaun Jenkins. Fourth place went to Alan Erikson and ex pro football star Derek Cowden.
Nearest the pin winners were Shaun Jenkins (2nd), Herman Grotius (5th), Tony Kennedy (10th) and Dave Sirey (13th) and Pete Gilliver (17th).
Stone last went to our good friend Dave Meredith and partner Dylan Harris scoring a commendable 30 points.
