SOUTHBROOM
Round two of the JustSmoked Ultra Pairs competition was won by Hein Bester and Annette Payne from the team Sunnyside Up, with a score of 24-6.
Runners-up were Glenn and Sue Hatfield, the Mad Hatters, on 23-7.
The competition is being promoted by recently arrived Southbroom resident Neale Cary-Smith, a keen bowler who won the Kingfisher Bowling Association’s regional Novices’ Singles title in 2019 after only a year of playing.
He is a keen sponsor of bowls and is promoting the sport at both development and senior levels.
The JustSmoked Ultra Pairs invitational competition will run for 13 months and comprises players from all the neighbouring bowling clubs.
MARGATE BC
The Hibiscus Brokers Trips was won by Franci Philpott, Ron Vink and Neville Philpott.
Runners-up were Tiens Zietsman, Tys Pringle and Marthie Pringle.
Bowling days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, at 2pm; Sunday at 9am.

Friday, November 27 – Food Lover’s Market Open Pairs.
Sunday, November 29 – Bowls 9am, followed by bring and braai. Pap and sous available.
HIBBERDENE
The Hibberdene Pharmacy sponsored nominated mixed trips last Friday was won by Bruce Hoyer, Bets de Villiers and Fay Patterson.
Second were Keiran Dacey, Sharolyn Dacey and Steve O’Moore.
Session prize went to Ollie Coetzer, Miriam Seager and Paul Grutter.
The next Friday competition will be sponsored by Dr Govender (drawn mixed trips on 27th).
Starting time will be 2pm.

The Abingdon Spar mixed trips winners were Dumisani Madlala, Nellie Davies and Jan Anderson.
Runners-up were Keith Mills, Tammy Gibbons and Astrid Jackson.
Session went to Peter von Brandis, Jill von Brandis and Jimmy Johnstone.
PORT EDWARD
Winners of the Superspar 2-bowl trips were Brian Cole-Cook, George Chomoranski and Jenny Sammon from Anthony Card, Sergio Ruperto and Denise de Witt .
Second session went to Sharon and Herman Scheinberg with Rob Hardwick. Tabs in socials to continue on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1.30pm.

JL Panelbeaters Twilight Bingo Trips played last Friday was won by Peter Griffiths, Richard Griffiths and Donald Moir.
