Kuben achieves rare double

Keith Vergottini emerged victorious beating Robbie Matthias 1-up.

Matchplay championships were held over two days with the top eight finishers from the club championships qualifying.

Kuben Naidoo continued his excellent golf and achieved the double with a 3/2 win over Wally Kent to add the C division matchplay trophy to his strokeplay victory.

The D division was hotly contested with the match going all the way down the 18th.

In the B division Kavish Seepershad played great golf, closing out his match against Nelson Moonsamy on the 14th with a 5/4 victory.

The A division saw the strokeplay winner and runner-up battling it out for top matchplay honours.

And experience proved to make all the difference with Patrick Ndlovu beating Russell Heine 4/3.

Keith Vergottini and Peter Toward won the second round of the Betterball League.

The second round of the Betterball League was well supported with 48 players in the field.

Scores reflected the great condition of the course with Peter Toward and Keith Vergottini winning on 47 points.

In second place on 44 points were Jacques Kirstein and Saga Reddy.

Dave Shepherd and Dave Robertson came third on a count-out from Devlyn Fraser and Natalie Singer, on 42 points.

Nearest the pin prizes were sponsored by Ocean Wealth Management and won by Lucas De Bruyn (4th), Robbie Bruce (9th), Natalie Singer (13th), and Sabiha Bacaus (17th).

Saga Reddy racked up an impressive 11 points to win the jackpot.
