Jack breaks par, Luke breaks foot
He produced some quality golf, carding 73 and 70 for a one under par total of 143, in breezy conditions to clinch a two shot win.
The 2021 golf season has gotten off to vastly contrasting starts for Cubitt twins Jack and Luke.
Jack won the first GolfRSA trophy for 2021, namely the Nomads National Order of Merit Coastal junior tournament, at Selborne Park GC recently.

They are both handicapped at Umdoni Park, but also members at Selborne, so Jack enjoyed some home course advantage and used it to the full, knowing when to attack and when to play more conservatively.
He produced some quality golf, carding 73 and 70 for a one under par total of 143, in breezy conditions to clinch a two shot win.
He has plans to attend college golf in the United States later in the year – around August – but that will now seemingly depend on the global Covid-19 situation.
In the meantime, he is concentrating on playing in as many tournaments as possible, with the goal of earning his colours at country districts level and possibly even for the main men’s team in September, if he is still in South Africa.

His twin brother Luke has been forced to take a break, literally, unfortunately.
One of his friends knocked over a table and it fell on his foot, resulting in an injury serious enough to rule him out of action.
He’s itching to get back on to the golf course, but is trying to do the sensible thing by letting it heal properly before doing so.
His plan is to head to Stellenbosch to study.
