Tristan stars in age group gala
The MSC swimmers produced some fantastic results, with the majority clocking personal best times and attaining their level 2 and 3 times.
The first Ugu age group gala for the year took place at Southcity Christian Schools‘ pool in Ramsgate last Saturday.
It was hosted by Margate Swimming Club and featured Blue Ocean Aquatics, Seals, Seagulls, Tuks and the local members of MSC of course.
The MSC swimmers produced some fantastic results, with the majority clocking personal best times and attaining their level 2 and 3 times.
The star of the day was grade 8 pupil from Southcity and MSC, Tristan Horsley, who achieved his SANJ (South African National Junior) times in the 100m backstroke.
This required a qualifying time of 1.14.39 of which he (Tristan) swam in 1.11.64.
Horsley again competed in the 200m backstroke, which had a qualifying time of 2.44.69, where he swam a time of 2.37.72.
