Cupid strikes at bowls day

Some 18 players took part in the Valentine's tabs-in competition

Congratulations to AMBC bowlers Brian Navias and Keith Findlay who played in the semi-finals of the KBA men’s pairs and obtained third place.

The first round of the Saturday league commenced on February 20.

The ladies first team earned seven points for the day and the second team two points.

They had a bye in the first round.

The men’s first and second teams unfortunately lost.

Some 18 players took part in the Valentine’s tabs-in competition on February 13.

The winners were Tony Simpson, Nelia van Vuuren and Hugh Lindsay.

Runners-up were Sandy O’Donoghue and Jean Thomassen.

The club was pleased to welcome Hester Hankey (lady chair) and Billy Smith (men’s chair) to the AMBC Committee after the resignations of Pat Navias and Pierre van Wyk.
