The finals of the Kingfisher Bowling Association's Men’s and Women’s Pairs took place at Hibberdene bowling club

The finals of the Kingfisher Bowling Association’s Men’s and Women’s Pairs took place at Hibberdene Bowling Club last Sunday.
After two closely competed final games the winner in the men’s section were Ron Weddell and Terrance McGlynn from Riverside Sports Club.
The women’s title was won by Pam Cole-Cook and Vi Pells from Margate Bowling Club.
Runners up in the Men’s section were Alex Bukes and Hennie van Jaarsveld from Hibberdene and in the Women’s Section Jane Massam and Julie Ross from Port Shepstone Country Club.
SOUTHBROOM
The winners of round 1 of Southbroom Bowling Club’s popular JL Panelbeaters Men’s Fours were John Keppler, Steve Rennie, Kotie Snyman and Andreas van der Linde, all of Banners Rest.
In second place were Vernon Clements, Hein Bester, Graham Fisher and Brent Addison of Southbroom, and Margate’s Brian Douthwaite, Gerhard Waldeck, Trevor Howard and Hans van der Walt finished third.
MARGATE BC
Winners of the Crayfish Inn Women’s Trips were Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo and Winnie Hess.
Runners-up were Dawn Oehley, Maureen Roach and Marie Momele.

February 24 – Covid Competition at 2pm, followed by braai.
February 26 – Food Lover’s Market Open Pairs at 2pm.
February 27 – Trips Competition, cash prizes at 2pm.
February 28 – Sunday Bowls, bring and braai at 9am.
Social bowls every Sunday morning at 9am. Dress casual.
HIBBERDENE
The Re/Max Nominated Mixed Trips Competition played last Friday was won by Adam Grobler, Estelle Quinn and Calie Smit.
In second place were Eddie Milne, Bubbles Bezuidenhout and Andrew Maree.
Session prize went to Ollie Coetzer, Miriam Seager and Hana Svoboda.
The next Friday competition will be, 26 February a Drawn Mixed Trips game this Friday (26th), starting at 3pm.
TWENI
Nellie Davies and Astrid Jackson won the Wimpy Oribi women’s pairs last Thursday.
Runners-up were Desiree Krause and Winnie Hess. Session went to Gill Dunn and Glenda Verster.
