Chris Geyer organised the mixed numbers event and finalised an entry of 18 teams at Sezela Bowling Club last week.
Geoff and Jenny Donaldson with Taffy Knight were overall winners.
Runners-up were Chris and Engela Wehr with Claire Wilhelm.
Second session prize went to Brian Kidd with Mike and Claribel Helfrich.
Thanks to our sponsors Omiehoek Biltong, Umdoni Golf Restaurant and Pennvalley Golf Estate.
Well done to Dave Gibson, Lindy Suter, Ted Moffet and Lucas Lindique who were our snack providers.
Competition secretary Engela Wehr did a great job in sourcing 20 teams for our mixed 2-4-2 competition.
One team ‘forgot’ they were playing, however Dave and Mon Gibson volunteered to withdraw so Engela was able to even up the teams.
Rod Black and Pam Lyon scrapped through to win first prize by one shot.
Runners-up, Chris and Engela Wehr won after a count out.
Ian Adam and Loretta Holness won the second session prize.
Taffy Knight kindly sponsored the prizes after receiving his insurance pay out for a full house earlier this month.
Thanks to Loretta Holness, Annetjie Kidd, Nicholas Aldhouse and John Cryer for providing the tasty tea time snacks.
Saturday’s league results saw AMBC take a full five pointer against our men’s team with our ladies faring better by winning one and losing one in their matches. Jerry Davey and Gay Symons flew the Sezela flag in the KBA pairs and won their first round 20-7 then lost the second 7 -20.
