Loyiso and Co land open day win

The monthly Nashua Open Day last Friday saw three scores to count on the par threes, as well as the usual two to count on the rest.

The St Paddy’s Day Alliance at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday was won by Norman Farrell, Rob Meydell, Chris Ledden and Mike Lig on 86 points.

Runners-up were Bob O’Callaghan, Peter Volck, Alex and Ken Crawford, counting out Malcolm Greenland, Colin Mckay, Peter Leeming and Bruce Begley.

Winners were Mthandeni Mtshaka, Victor Phungula, Siya Cele and Loyiso Goqwana on 91 points.

In second place were Chris and Jo Ledden, Roger and Heleen Hissey, on 90 points.

Third spot went to Piet Fourie, Johan Neethling, Jaco van der Wal and Deon Meyer on 89 points.

The Betterball Stableford last Saturday was won by Martin Hutton and Peter Volck on 46 points, by four from Lee Mutch and Irene Schanda.

In third place on 41 points were Peter Leeming and Rory O’Donnell, counting out Christer Solgevik and Derek James.
