Pro and Pete win Roel Germs trophy

The women's competition last Wednesday was won by Sharon Turnbull-Jackson on nett73.

It was time for the Roel Germs Trophy at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday.

It was won by Peter Kupisiewicz and pro Derek James on 42 points.

Roel died in March last year and so his daughter Meryl did the honours of presenting the trophy.

Runners-up on 41 points were Bruce Matthew and Rob Meydell, who counted out Emil Hierhold and Andy Bossard, as well as Peter Leeming and Rory O’Donnell.

Fifth spot went to Norman Farrell and Don Osbourn on 40 points.

Chicken Run: Peter Leeming 21 points, Daryl Morris 20 points, Nic van Deventer 20 points.

The women’s competition last Wednesday was won by Sharon Turnbull-Jackson on nett73.

Runner-up was Irene Schanda on nett 76, with Heleen Hissey next on 77.

In the Individual Stableford, Di Morris won on 27 points by one from Jeanne Powell.

The men’s medal winner was Van Zyl Greyling on nett 69.

Stableford winner was Grant Morris on 37 points, on a countout from Peter Leeming.

Daryl Morris was third on 36 points, counting out Werner Duggan.

Bob Thomas and Shaun Frankish were next on 36 points.

The women played for the Noelle Edwards Trophy, which was won by Candida Amm and Louise Leal on 42 points.

They were four ahead of Sue Kupisiewicz and Lorraine Cook on 38 points, with Janet Humphrey and Jeanne Powell next on 36 points.
