Waltzing into the prizes
Scooping 10 points on the jackpot holes was Bryony Rodgers with Russell Cumming and Mike Dennison (x2) taking home the 2-club money.
Thirty-eight players contested the first Waltzing Alliance for 2021 at Umkomaas Golf Club last Saturday, enjoying glorious weather and greens that were running quick and true.
Waltzing into the prizes were Steve Oliver, Graham Coxell, Mike Dennison and Jacques Kirstein on a very good 85 points.
Second place on 82 points were Jacques and Sabiha Hulley, Riek Jansen van Rensburg and Dominic Jarvis.
In third place were Nigel Henson, Reg Clark, Brian Kassel, and John Boyd on 79 points.

The Wednesday IPS competitions continue to attract good fields and visitors (ladies and men) are reminded that they are always welcome to join in.
In first place was Sue Boucher on 38 points, counting out Richard Andersson.
Third place went to Greg Theil on 37 points, with Devlyn Fraser fourth on 35 points.
The third Alliance League competition was held on April 24 and nearly 60 players contested the prizes.
Coming out tops on 85 points was the team of Damien O’Connell, Mickey Eriksen, Wayne Addison, and Jordan Bernardis.
Just one point behind, on 84 points, were Tom and Dean Naicker, Christopher Pillay and Kuben Naidoo.
Taking third, on a count-out, were Bruce Sutcliffe, Francois Rossouw, Brian Kassel, and Stuart Kilmartin.
KidzGolf starts again this Saturday (8th).
We’re thrilled to be welcoming back the juniors to our Saturday morning KidzGolf sessions.
Held each Saturday during school term, between 8am and 9am, KidzGolf aims to teach youngers (6 to 18 years) how to play the game.
Equipment is provided so kids need to come dressed neatly and with socks and takkies.
KidzGolf is free for members’ children and grandchildren and a nominal annual fee of R250 per child applies for non-members.
Come down this weekend to see what it’s all about, no obligation for the first session.
Club Champs is scheduled to take place on May 22 and 23 May and members are reminded to call the pro shop at 039 9731042 to put their names down.
