Clean sweep for Sezela bowlers

The men’s section was also dominated by the host club with Corrie van Aswegen and Chris Wehr winning the session.

The Sezela Bowling Club men’s league team took all five points playing away against Scottburgh last Saturday, with Jerry Davey’s side winning by five shots and Mally Swanby’s by 10.

Both matches were very competitive, however Sezela had the proverbial rub of the green.

After the heavy Covid restrictions being eased, it was great to see two full greens once more at Sezela in our 2-4-2 men and women’s competition last Monday.

Engela Wehr and Claire Wilhelm won the second session, Pam Lyon and Zelda Wood were runners-up, and pipping them by one shot were winners Sue Padgett and Mon Gibson.

The men’s section was also dominated by the host club with Corrie van Aswegen and Chris Wehr winning the session.

Runners-up were Peter Woolcock and Chris Ardendorff.

Dave Billet and Rod Black finished on 4+16 to take the winner’s prize.

Once again, a big thank you to all our sponsors.

Welcome to new members Mick Collins, Marcel Verleur and Conrad Smit.

All three have settled in nicely and are quite at home on the green, needless to say they have also had an influence in our increased bar revenue.

President, Gay Symons, and secretary, Linda Stead are both away for a few weeks to enjoy some family time in Gauteng.

Both are hardworking ladies and deserve a break.

Well done to the rest of the committee who have kept the club running smoothly.
