Tweni trumps Southbroom in tennis friendly
Plenty of time for lots of extra practice. Come on, everyone, let's have a bumper entry this year.
Umtentweni Tennis Club has been a hive of activity lately with members playing singles and doubles most days of the week, and social days, Wednesdays and Saturdays, being well-attended with at least four courts going on club days. Visitors are most welcome to join in on these days from about 2pm onwards.
A friendly match was played against Southbroom last Sunday with Tweni emerging victorious by a comfortable margin. Well played, everyone. We look forward to a return match in the near future. It is always a pleasure to compete against Southbroom. Members are thanked for providing a grand array of eats which were thoroughly enjoyed by competitors and spectators alike.

In recent months, three new members have joined our club and we welcome Wayne Hartogh, Mark Hannaway and Jenny Browne with the hope that they will all enjoy many happy hours on the courts.
The lists for this year’s championships are on the notice board and members are encouraged to enter by putting their names up even though it is a few weeks before the champs start on June 19. Plenty of time for lots of extra practice. Come on, everyone, let’s have a bumper entry this year.
