Balmy autumn days mean good weather for tennis and this was certainly the case when all six courts came into play at Tweni Tennis Club last Saturday.

Congratulations to Ian Ackerman who won the men’s singles in straight sets in the 60s age group, during the Eastern Cape open tournament in East London last week. Tweni is proud of your success, Ian – thank you for keeping our flag flying high!

Many happy returns go to Doug Kjonstad, our honorary member who turns 93 on June 4; Tischardo Roos on the 6th; and Foxy Norton and junior member, Daniel Davies on the 9th. May you all have a wonderful day, good health and great tennis throughout the coming year.
