Lwando Dlezi rides wave of surfing success

This will be Lwando's fourth appearance at the champs. This year he will be competing in the u18 division.

Lwando Dlezi has been selected to represent Ugu District at the 2021 SA junior surfing championships.

This will be Lwando’s fourth appearance at the champs. This year he will be competing in the u18 division. Passionate about surfing and always striving for better results, Lwando is an excellent role model for his community.

His goals for next year include studying to become an English teacher and pursuing his surfing career further.

He currently surfs and trains at Trafalgar beach on KZN’s South Coast with the Trafalgar Saints Surf Team.

He has been part of this team since 2018 and is one of the older team members. His achievements have shown what the team platform has to offer and what is possible for these youngsters.

He serves as an inspiration to his teammates and proves that dreams can
be reached.
