Strong start for Blue Ocean swimmers

The swimmers also scooped a total of 20 medals.

Swimmers from Blue Ocean Aquatics (BOA) recently took part in their first competitive gala of the season.

Despite the freezing cold temperatures and Covid-19 regulations, the swimmers managed to held their own and clocked impressive times.

The swimmers also scooped a total of 20 medals.

Blue Ocean Aquatics medal winners are (back, from left) Everrraud Raynard, Winé Koekemoer, Tehl-Cadi Day-Garden, Tharien Venter and Nelzaan Strydom, with Enzo Raynard in front.

The medal winners were Tehl-Cadi Day-Garden (bronze 200m IM, 100m free, 50m breast, 100m fly), Winé Koekemoer (gold 100m back), Nelzaan Strydom (bronze 200m free, 100m free, 100m fly), Tharien Venter (silver 200m back), Enzo Raynard (gold 50m, 100m breast and silver 200m free, 50m fly, 200m IM, 100m fly), Everraud Raynard (silver 50m fly, bronze 200m free, 200m IM, 50m free, 400m free).

The club was very proud of coach Mandy Koegelenberg and the swimmers on a great performance.
