Golf news to the tee
Heleen Hissey won the ladies Adamson Trophy last Saturday on 32 points, with Louise Leal runner-up on 31 points.
Alex Crawford and Chris Ledden won the betterball Stableford on 42 points at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday, two ahead of Malcolm Moorley and Chris Miller who finished on 40 points.
The Nashua Open Day last Friday was won by visitors Gareth Nuttall, Denzel Mamotte, Calvin Thompson and Nick Conway on 93 points, well clear of George Nagel, Piet Fourie, Jaco van der Wal and Heber De Beer’s 85 points.

In the men’s section, Geoff Skelton won the Frank Eyles trophy on 37 points, on a countout from Peter Leeming.
* At Port Shepstone Country Club, the competition last Wednesday was won by Gavin van Wyk and Rob Vogt on 40 points, counting out Dr Ayoob Bux and Chris Boyce, as well as Gerald Koch and Albert dos Santos. Winners of the Compleat Golfer Windhoek 5 Star National Pairs qualifying competition were Kim Strauss and Yzelle Greyling on 45 points. They were five ahead of Gerald Koch and Albert dos Santos.
