The Southern KwaZulu-Natal cricket team has made a winning start in the premier league T20 cricket tournament.
The game was played in Durban at the Kingsmead Oval against African Warriors.

There was one moment of brilliance in the field when Sanolin Pather held on to a very good catch.
Southern KZN, with some very aggressive batting, chased down the score with ease, finishing on 161 for 3 in 16 overs.
Openers Bilal Hassan and Sachin Kalkapersad shared an 88 run opening stand, with each scoring 39 runs.
Centurion from the friendly last week, Suhel Patel, is making a name for himself with some big hitting and he smashed two sixes that cleared the entire ground.
He finished on 31 off 16 balls.
Ashley Lombard finished the game off, chipping it around for ones and twos and ended on a well played 29 not out.
Captain Meshan Lanka said it was a good win for the team and a great start.
“We are looking forward to some extremely tough matches coming our way when we play against some of the province’s best cricketers,” he said.
