Ugu surfers in high spirits

Claudia Attfield, team manager and vice chairman of the Ugu District Surfriders, mentioned that the Ugu team was doing very well during the event.

The highly anticipated Sea Harvest SA Junior Surfing Championships presented by SMTH Shapes kicked off on October 1 in Jeffreys Bay.

This is the 24th edition of the SA Junior Championships which welcomed young surfers from various parts of the coastline.

Boys and girls in the divisions from U12 to U18 surfed in this contest and surfers from eight different districts took part in this event, with three districts being from KwaZulu-Natal.

“The surfers always had high team spirits,” she said.

Ugu District surfers Jordy Boshoff and Kira Attfield captained the Ugu team which was coached by Royden Bryson.

On Monday this week, the Ugu team was still full of pep and continued giving off their best before the contest came to an end on Tuesday (5th).
