‘Action’ packed time for pool players
It was an eventful morning, filled with calculated shots, friendly competition and heaps of laughter as players did their best to allow their team to come out on top.
Local pool players were tasked with putting their best shots forward during a pool competition held at Action Sports Bar in Marburg over the weekend.
Saturday saw a R4000 16-man knockout competition while Sunday was a nine-man team challenge.
Three teams in total competed for a R6000 pot – Actions Sports from Port Shepstone, Fire ‘n Ice from Durban and Ballers from Amanzimtoti.
It was an eventful morning, filled with calculated shots, friendly competition and heaps of laughter as players did their best to allow their team to come out on top.
Ultimately it was Team Fire ‘n Ice who won while Team Actions were runners up.
Meanwhile, Deon Pillay from the local team won the singles competition, which took place after the main event.
Kuben Govender, also from Team Action was runner up in the singles.
