Ashley crowned darts champion
Mike Holloway placed third, with two losses. Harold Jantjies and Eddie Ramaloo were fourth and fifth respectively.
The Luckys Sports Port Shepstone singles darts league, held by the Margate Darts Association, concluded at Douglas Mitchell recently, after a closely contested season.
Ashley Nair was crowned the 2021 champion after losing just one out of 20 games played.
He was one point ahead of runner-up Solly Maquthu, who also only suffered one loss but a two point gap in points difference saw Nair win the title.

Jason Govender was sixth, Tony Premadu seventh, Aphelele Manyala eighth, Collin Govendor ninth and Denzil Reddy tenth.
They were followed by Ben van Jaarsveld (11), Munnik de Koker (12), Jackson Mgade (13), Dezlyn Smithwick (14), Neville Naidoo (15), PK Ramouthar (16), Navikar Maharaj (17), Chicago Masicothoze (18), Dhuran Ramaloo (19), Geno Hufft and Khanya Ndum-Ndum (20).
The 4 A Side League, sponsored by Eddie’s Auto, starts this Thursday.
