First-ever win against Berea Rovers for SKZN cricket

The Southern KwaZulu-Natal (SKZN) cricket side recently travelled to Durban to face Berea Rovers in a 50 over cricket match.
Winning the toss, captain of SKZN Morne Bishop elected to bat first.
On a slow track SKZN dug in and built partnerships all the way through the innings and ended with a very respectable 256 for 7. Runs were scored by the entire top 5 being Sachin Kalkerpersad 35, Suhel Patel 32, Paki Zokufa 38, Morne Bishop 55 and Ashley Lombard 54.
SKZN prides themselves in their fielding and again put in an amazing effort, restricting Berea Rovers to 173 all out. The bowlers had fun with Bryce Allchin collecting 4 for 25, Gareth Pieterse 2 for 38 and Alviero Nadassen 3 for 42.
Southern Natal won the match by 83 runs, earning their first-ever win against Berea Rovers.
SKZN is currently having their best season in top flight, and management and players are really motivated to keep the momentum going. The next fixture is set for this Sunday (28th) away to Pinetown Cricket Club.
In local cricket, Kings took on Knockouts. On a difficult pitch, Kings managed a score of 106 which was chased down by Knockout in a close encounter.
Meanwhile Wolfpack took on Sezela and claimed victory in another low scoring tight affair.
