Karateka chops into second Dan

Tyler has been training under the guidance of Sensei Coenie Vrey for the past 12 years.

Suid Natal Martial Arts Academy karateka Tyler Hogan recently received his Nidan Grading (second Dan) at an intense grading session which was held in Johannesburg.

Tyler, who has been training under the guidance of Sensei Coenie Vrey from Suid Natal Martial Arts Academy for the past 12 years, is known for his many karate accolades in the area.

“Tyler’s dedication, hard work and perseverance has once again paid off and we congratulate him on this excellent achievement. He has fulfilled another dream in his karate career by receiving his second Dan grading at the young age of 18, an excellent accomplishment in itself.” said Vrey.

Tyler, who follows the Goju Ryu karate style was graded by a panel of esteemed karate senseis under the watchful eye of Sensei Arnold De Beer from ISMAA.
