SOUTHBROOM
Peter and Pat Maggs of The Bell were crowned winners of the Hibiscus Brokers ultra pairs that took place at the club last Sunday, while there runners-up were Brian Cole-Cook and Vi Pels.
Sergio Ruperto of Banner’s Rest was all smiles after winning the bonus pool of R900 for three touchers in the same end.

Winning the Tiago’s men’s trips at Southbroom on Tuesday this week were Tony Waters, Cleve Walker and Osie Osborne. Runners-up were Glenn Hatfield, Brent Addison and Ian Hunter. The first session went to Alan Tyres, Ali Mitchell and Doug Kent, and the second went to Tiens Zietsman, Gerhard Balzer and Theo Vorster.
HIBBERDENE
In the nominated trips competition sponsored by Hibberdene Pharmacy last Friday, Bruce Hoyer, Pieter Rossouw and Joey Venter walked away with first place, ahead of runners-up Adam Grobler, Estelle Quinn and Calie Smit.
Hennie van Jaarsveld, Cheryl Knight and Les Horner rounded off the top three on the day. The next competition will only be this Friday (21st) and is set to be a drawn trips competition sponsored by Just Chill Refrigeration.
Club members are reminded that due to the hot weather, play on Wednesday and Friday afternoons will start at 15:00.
THE VILLAGE
In the Hibiscus Brokers mixed trips held at the club recently, Lenie Geyer, Voulene and Trevor Prinsloo were the day’s winners, ahead of runners-up Kevin Button, Grant Malgue and Edith Button.
The first session was won by Michelle Grey, Rodney Winnon and Allan Grey. The second session prize was won by Tim Pole, Jeff Cronjea and Chrissie Haslam.
