MARGATE
The Cray Fish Inn open 2 bowl trips competition took place last Friday, and was won by Kobie Stander, Dora Vosloo and Winnie Hess. Second place went to Heather Roberts, Margie Purkiss and Brigitte Cary-Smith.

Yvonne Bausek, Margaret Duffield and Kobie Ritchie were winners of the session prize while 50/50 winner was Eileen Burt.

The Food Lover’s Market open pairs competition will be the last club event for January, and will take place this Friday (28th) at 14:00.

The Remax men’s 2-4-2- will take place on Friday, February 4 at 14:00; followed by Hibiscus Brokers open trips (11th), quiz night on the (16th) – R30 per person – dinner R50 per person; Cray Fish Inn women’s 2 bowl trips (18th); Food Lover’s Market open pairs (25th).

Tabs days are every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 14:00 and social bowls take place every Sunday at 9am – casual dress.

THE BELL
Well done to Hew Hodgeson and Mada Lindeque for getting to the semi-finals of the Kingfisher Bowling Association (KBA) mixed trips sponsored by 3rd Avenue.

Maureen Head, Charmaine Vermeulen and Dina van der Walt were the day’s winners while second place went to Gary Vogts, Hedy Morom and Laraine Harris, with Jane Massam, Rentie Stephens and Sandy Shepard finishing third.

The Food Lover’s Market pairs were won by Sharolyn Dacey and Steve O’moore. Peter and Gerda Clark were the day’s runners-up while Dennis Graham and Trudie Rush finished third.

HIBBERDENE
The drawn trips competition sponsored by Just Chill Refrigeration was won by Albert Munnik, Estelle Quinn and Elize Duvenhage last Friday. Bez Bezuidenhout, Hettie Nel and Johan Labuschagne finished second while Roger Burwood, Judy Aiston and Tillie Kirkland finished third.

The next competition will be this Friday (28th) and it will be a drawn trips competition sponsored by Remax.

SOUTHBROOM
Winning the JL Panelbeaters men’s fours competition at Southbroom last Friday were Riverside’s Rodney Winnan, Ferro van Greunen, Clinton Edmonds and Butch Bruce while Brian Douthwaite, Trevor Haywood, Mark Kassner and Theo Vorster were the runners-up.

TWENI
The Harbourview Superspar mixed pairs bowls competition was played recently at Tweni and was won by Richard and Kitty Cochman. The day’s runners-up were Andre and Elsa Lourens while the session prize went to Peter and Jill von Brandis.
