Eventful weekend for athletes

Then there was the Pinetown and Districts Athletic Club (PDAC) race, a 25km road running event from Waterfall to Pinetown where the Scotties flag was once again held high.

It was a busy weekend for members of the Scottburgh Athletics Club.

Vi Longmore (left) and Morgane Petite also participated in Run the Rivers.

Brett Louw and Rhonwyn Brayley ran the ‘Run the Rivers’ trail run in the Drakensberg on day one which was 23km and they finished under three hours. After Rhon tweaked her knees, Brett ran day two alone, another 23km and finished in 2:29.

Then there was the Pinetown and Districts Athletic Club (PDAC) race, a 25km road running event from Waterfall to Pinetown where the Scotties flag was once again held high.

Times were as follows: Mez Kennedy 1:38, Lungelo Zama 2:15, Elouise Jones 2:21 and Dana Daniels 2:27; along with all the supporters who erected a gazebo at the finish and supplied runners with bacon and egg rolls at the end.
