Golf news to the tee
Andrew Maree and George Bowie concluded the top three with a count out of 42 points.

SOUTHBROOM
The club hosted the ladies individual Stableford last Wednesday. Janet Lehman’s 29 points saw her finish first, two points ahead of runner-up Tracey van der Spuy on 27 points.
In the men’s individual Stableford Andrew Wager finished first on 39 points, ahead of runner-up Neill Crossey on 35 points and third place Bruce Begley on 33 points.
The Alliance (two scores to count) took place last Saturday. Malcolm Greenland, Colin Mckay, Alex and Ken Crawford’s 87 points saw them finish first. Don Osbourn, Roger Hissey, Gavin and Graham Sole were the runners-up on 86 points, while Greg Bishop, Lloyd Letard, George Corris and Bob Geldard concluded the top three with 83 points respectively.
The chicken run was won by Des Erasmus, all tied on 18 points, with Rupert Niebuhr, Det Wichmann and Janet Lehman.
PORT SHEPSTONE
In the better ball Stableford last Wednesday, Charles Hulley and Craig Lindsay finished on top on 46 points, two clear of second placed Eddie Ringo and Jesse Verster who ended on 44 points. Andrew Maree and George Bowie concluded the top three with a count out of 42 points.
In the better ball bonus bogey, also last Saturday saw Tom Pearson and Sheldon van der Merwe’s +7 seal first place. Lionel Peters and Smittie Stieger finished in second place on +6, while Hans and Marietjie Stols rounded off the top three on a count out of +5.
