Gavin, Gary clinch Roel Germs Trophy

The Roel Germs Trophy at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday was won by Gavin Sole and Gary Purtell on +9, counting out Andre Steyn and Andre Ollewagen.
In a tie for third on +8 were Ken Crawford and Bob O’Callaghan, as well as Martin Hutton and Phil Verwey.
Taking fifth spot were Jim Dimambro and Malcolm Moorley.
The women’s competition, the Pam Quarmby Alliance, was won by Sue Kupisiewicz, Rene Matthew, Louise Leal and Candida Amm (ghost) on 75 points.
Runners-up were Karen Bridgeford, Mari Fielden and Sharon Turnbull-Jackson on 74 points, with Margie Sherratt, Jo Ledden, Carol Lamb and Jeanne Powell next on 73 points, counting out Julie Gerber, Augi D’ewes, Irene Schanda and Ann-Sophie Santos.
The previous Wednesday’s competition was won by Alex Crawford on nett 73.
Stableford winner was Malcolm Moorley on 35 points, counting out Rupert Niebuhr 35 points.
Next was Graham Sole on 34 points, by one from Malcolm Greenland and Gavin Sole.
