Tyron is a rising volleyball star

Currently, Tyron plays for Paragon Avengers, a premier league team.

Tyron Pillay, a 16 year old grade 11 learner at Port Shepstone Secondary attributes his volleyball skills to his family, friends, coaches and teammates, who always believed in his ability.

The competitiveness in his bloodline, has helped Tyron achieve phenomenal success on the court.

At school level, he captained the boys’ under 16 team to victory, in the first schools’ volleyball knockout tournament.

Tyron gained tremendous experience as an outside hitter and centre player, in the side out boys’ team, an affiliate of the PSVA division 1 league. The team clinched a coveted second position last year.

Currently, Tyron plays for Paragon Avengers, a premier league team.

Though he is the youngest in this team, his tactical serves, power spikes and solid blocks, contributed to the team’s second position on the log.

The team participates in the Aqua Darshan KZN league every two months and has booked a place in the national VSA Champions Cup.
