Mlondi and Phiwa claim Restoration Trophy at PSCC

Funds raised for this years tournament will assist in refurbishing the toilets in the bar area.

Port Shepstone Country Club’s Restoration Trophy golf day was held last weekend.

Great weather and support on both days made it a successful two days of golf on a perfect course. The Restoration Trophy has always represented unity in rebuilding after a disaster.

Chairman, Ryan Ringo thanked all sponsors and golfers for making this tournament successful. He also praised the club’s committee and staff for hosting a well organised event. Funds raised for this year’s tournament will assist in refurbishing the toilets in the bar area.

The winners on 94 points were Mlondi Zithumane and Phiwa Mkhoma, second place went to Njabulo Mngoma and Kwanele Mkhoma on 87 points, and in third place Zelda Smook and Debbie Stewart on 85 points.

The winning pair on day one was Ryan Ringo and Craig Engelbrecht on 47 points. After prizegiving, golfers and guests enjoyed an evening of good music and food.

Wednesday’s Individual Bonus Bogey saw Piet Snyman taking first place on plus 8 points, second Smittie Stieger on plus 2 and third Craig Lindsay on plus 1.

The Barry, Botha and Breytenbach golf day was held last Friday. In first place was Nicky Smith and Gary Purtell on 45 points, with Yzelle Greyling and Cecelia Verster on 44 points in second.

Upcoming events: The Halfway Ford Business Day this Friday (10th) and the Individual Points Stableford this Saturday (11th).
