Golfing seniors grace South Coast fairways
The tournament started with a friendly alliance at both courses, before the serious stuff.
More than 200 senior women golfers enjoyed three days of wonderful golf – and fun of course – at San Lameer Country Club and Southbroom Golf Club, for the National Senior Women’s Golf Tournament last week.
The official flag raising, led by the KZN Senior Women’s Golf Society, was held on the Sunday afternoon at San Lameer, followed by an alliance at the two clubs on the Monday, and then two days of individual golf on the Tuesday and Wednesday.
The tournament was originally scheduled for 2020 but due to the pandemic it had to be postponed twice.
Golfers travelled from all around the country and thankfully, the weather was good.
