Carlos holes out at Margate

Carlos Pereira provided one of the highlights of the week at Margate Country Club, with a hole-in-one on the 4th hole last Saturday. This was a career number four for him. Not bad at all.
It wasn’t enough to win the competition, which was played as a Combined Stableford and won by Len Wilmans and Renet van Biljon on 67 points.
Runners-up were Robin Shuttleworth and Connie McArthur.

The women played a fourball alliance which was won by Wondra Bothma, Maureen Ogilvie, Beryl Williamson and Hannetjie Pretorius on 86 points.
Then it was the Sandi’s Surprise on Tuesday this week, which was won by Sandi Johnston, Wondra Bothma and Lexley Lewis on 168 points.
Runners-up were Dawn Howden, Hannetjie Pretorius and Lesley Erasmus on 147 points.
Third place went to Lizzie Meyer, Maureen Ogilvie and Sandi Johnston on 124 points.
Dawn Howden won both the nearest the pins, on the 11th and 16th holes.
