Gary Vogt wins monthly mug

Winter conditions have produced some decent scoring.

It was time for the monthly mug at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday, sponsored by D’Arcy Dental, so not a time to hit it in the teeth!

Best gross on the day was 78, carded by both Gavin van Wyk and his son Jarrod – not bad for Jarrod who hasn’t played much golf of late.

However, the mug winner was Gary Vogt on nett 68.

A division was won by Gavin van Wyk on nett 71, by one from James Coull.

B division honours went to Paul Geoffery on nett 70, edging out Fanie Terblanche by one.

In the C division, Bevis Fairbrother had nett 72 to win, with Sheldon van der Merwe next on nett 74.

The Stableford section was won on 38 points by Braam van Wyk, by two from Terry Kotze.

The competition last Wednesday was won by Charles Hulley and Gary Vogt on 71 points, by two from Rob Calder and Dr Ayoob Bux.

In third place on 65 points were Fanie Terblanche and Wonderboy Nxumalo.

It’s the Halfway Ford Business Day this Friday (8th).
