Scotties athletes tackle various races

Several athletes made their personal bests.

The Scottburgh Athletics Club has been super busy lately.

The draw for the annual 100 Club was done recently, and the cocktail afternoon event was hosted at the Scottburgh Golf Club. Congratulations to Brandon Low who was the lucky winner.

The Umdoni forest trail run was organised by power couple, Rickey and Laura Hulley who hosted a beautiful race once again, it was super, well organised and everyone had fun.

Then the club had over 20 athletes compete in the Dolphin Coast Marathon in the various distances in Durban. This was also a great race and well organised.

Special mention go to those who were part of the 42.2km race:

Well done Myles Usher on an amazing time of 3:17 and Innocent Jiji the newcomer at the club with 3:38 and managed to qualify for Comrades with this time.

In the 21.1km, personal bests were achieved by Louis Nel, Chelsea Jones, Steve Jones, Zoe Jones and new runner Stehan De La Porte. The Jones family is clearly smashing every race!

Thanks to all members who were not part of races, but still assisted with marshalling along the route.
