Trophy time for Rupert, Sue

The winners will have their names etched on the respective trophies.

There were trophies and board honours up for grabs at Southbroom Golf Club last Saturday with the women playing for the Adamson Trophy and the men’s the Frank Eyles.

Sue Kupisiewicz carded a fabulous 41 points to win by four from Jeanne Powell.

The men’s section was won by Rupert Niebuhr on 38 points, one ahead of Bob Wagner and Chris Ledden.

In Wednesday golf, the women’s alliance (three scores on odd holes, two on even holes) was won on 89 points by Jeanne Powell, Michelle van der Hoek, Shirley Jeffery and Sue Kupisiewicz .

In second place on 84 points were Jo Ledden, Di Morris, Rene Matthew and Shelley Myers.

The men’s competition was won on 90 points by Bo Bergqvist, Christer Solgevik, Derek Oelofse and Malcolm Moorley.

Two adrift were Jan Roos, Kevin Feinberg, Graham Massyn and Grant Morris, followed by Norman Farrell, Kevin Daly, Bruce and Derrik Matthew on 85 points who counted out John Fox, Mike Lig, Bruce Begley and Rob Meydell.

The Friday Nashua Open Day (two to count, with three on the par threes) was won by Jaco van der Wal, Johan Neethling, Zaunru Coetzee and George Nagel on 99 points.

In second place were Kevin Feinberg, Sbu Ntozakhe, Cyprian Xolo and Wonderboy Nxumalo on 98 points.

Third spot went to Nic van Deventer, AB Cronje, Guy Yeadon and Charl Potgieter on 97 points.
