South Coast Warriors triumphed over Piet Retief, 22-13, to win the Dewar Shield (winner north vs south from league) last Saturday.
After a grueling 12 hour trip last Friday, the players came out firing the next day in what turned out to be a great game of rugby.
Tries were scored by Sheldon Rivabella, Graeme Bester and Lunga Madlala.
Dylan Kroon kicked two conversions and a penalty.
Man of the match awards went to Andromar du Toit and Jason Kobben.
The second team took on a powerful Newcastle side in a hard, physical up-and-down game.
They were gasping for breath a little in the thinner air and lost 10-7, putting in a brave effort.
Men of the match were Gareth Pieterse and Westley Nyman.
