Zubeida Bux took on the journey to represent her province in the KwaZulu-Natal Para Surfing competition held in Durban recently.
Formerly from Port Shepstone, and now living in Durban, Zubeida won a bronze medal after being placed fourth in her category.
Zubeida surfs at least three times a week and gyms at least twice a week.
“I want people with challenges to know that you can do anything you dream of. It’s never too late to start, don’t wait for tomorrow. Life is short, live it and don’t die before your death.”
She thanked the organisers for the event as she met many people and made lots of friends.
She also enjoys taking drives, and loves cooking and baking.
