Kirk in cruise control at Sheppie
Monthly Mug always tests the mettle of even the best golfers.
Kirk Larsen rolled back the years to produce a superb 72 gross off his six handicap to win the monthly mug, sponsored by D’Arcy Dental, at Port Shepstone Country Club last Saturday.
The A division was won on nett 73 by Sidney Shingange, on a countout from Cameron Olivant.
B division honours went to Gerald Koch on nett 70, with Rob Calder next on nett 73.
In the C division, the winner was Chris Boyce on nett 70, by four from Graham Dickson.
The Stableford section was won by Terry Kotze on 39 points from Tony Fairbairn on 35 points.
The previous Wednesday’s competition was won on 43 points by Charles Hulley and Gary Vogt, counting out Stewart Betts and Allan Rowley, as well as Rob Calder and Tinus Pretorius.
