Winners of the women’s competition at Southbroom Golf Club last Wednesday were Solange Fox, Lesley Godley and Margie Sherratt on 75 points.
One point behind were Michelle van der Hoek, Louise Leal, Rene Matthew and Sandy FitzGerald.
The men’s Combined Stableford Alliance was won by Alex Crawford, Chris Ledden, Geoff Skelton and Bob O’Callaghan on 86 points.
Runners-up were Bob Thomas, Peter Kupisiewicz, Don Osbourn and Jan Pienaar on 83 points, one ahead of John Neaves, Norman Farrell, Derrik Matthew and Bruce Matthew.
The women played for the President’s Trophy last Saturday, won by Sue Kupisiewicz and Michelle van der Hoek on 42 points, four ahead of Augi D’Ewes and Anne Baldrey, who counted out Allyson Thomas and Janet Lehmann.
The men’s version was won by Alan Woods and Chris Miller on 44 points, counting out Johan Wentzel and Brian Jolliffe.
Norman Farrell and Andrew Leckie were next on 43 points.
