GromSearch to end in Scottburgh

High-performance surfing is expected in Scottburgh.

Participants and spectators can look forward to an exciting end to this year’s Rip Curl GromSearch which will conclude in Scottburgh on September 24 and 25.

This series allows youngsters to compete against the best surfers in the same age bracket from their country.

The first event in this junior surfing series was at Victoria Bay earlier this year. Thereafter, the series moved to Seal Point, Cape St Francis.

Scottburgh is seen as one of the more popular South Coast surf breaks and is expected to be the ideal venue for this tournament to end with some high-performance surfing.

The tournament features U12, U14, U16 and U18 girls and boys divisions, and the competition is a full two days’ worth of competitive surfing.

The Scottburgh contest is a Premier SAST event, with 1000 points going to the winners and prize money as per premier events.

The results of all the heats and the final will be available at www.surfingsouthafrica.co.za
