Goodbye umpire John and thank you
The T20 league has started in great fashion, with some excellent cricket.
Round two of local T20 league was played on the South Coast last Sunday with a bit of sadness as local umpire John Bainbridge from Port Edward stood in his last game.
John, with his quick finger in giving batsmen out, will be missed by all, bowlers especially.
He was a mainstay in local cricket and a character who made every game entertaining. Clubs and players wish him well for the future.
On the playing side there have been two standout performers so far this season, namely Mikyle Bartle and Ashraf Mulla.
