Karateka hold their own at tournaments
The young athletes are putting the coast on the map.
Thirteen karateka from SKISA Port Shepstone, under the leadership of Shihan Frank Moodley, earned two medals each in a SKISA Team challenge tournament in Durban recently.
They were Sarah Sahli, Shristi Bisram, Miguel Gous, Teighlon Fynn, Dhiyasha Moodley, Shreyan Samuel, Tyler Gous, Emir Sahli, Layla Gous, Mikhail Peeriyalal, Dylan Peeriyalal, Neriah Peeriyalal and Ilhaam Amod.
In other news Mikhail Peeriyalal, Miguel Gous, Teighlon Fynn and Dylan Peeriyalal of SKISA Port Shepstone took part in the Karate South Africa National Schools Championship in Cape Town recently.
Transportation was sponsored by Darren Moodley of PG Glass Shelly Beach.
