Good turnout at colour fun run
Fun run held to launch the upcoming South Coast Pageant and raise funds
In support of Tidy Towns Shelly to Margate, the Margate colour fun run and walk had a good turnout recently.

About 100 locals participated, with some representing various organisations and institutions.

The organisers, Charmaine Kriel and Erika Labuschagne said the aim of the event was to get the community together, to enjoy the beauty of Margate beach while raising funds for the daily running of Tidy Towns Shelly to Margate.

“It was also the official launch of the South Coast Pageant which is coming up in December, “said Labuschagne.
The event was supported by local property letting agencies, car dealerships and small businesses, and it also gave local vendors an opportunity to make some money.

As part of the programme, the property agencies competed for the Best Spirit award and Remax was voted the winner.

The organisers thank the sponsors, Saps and law enforcement for ensuring that the event was safe and a success.
