Enjoying the atmosphere are Melo and Langa Ntshangase.

About 100 locals participated, with some representing various organisations and institutions.

Giving away prizes are Ruan Alberts and Louis van Wyk.

The organisers, Charmaine Kriel and Erika Labuschagne said the aim of the event was to get the community together, to enjoy the beauty of Margate beach while raising funds for the daily running of Tidy Towns Shelly to Margate.

“It was also the official launch of the South Coast Pageant which is coming up in December, “said Labuschagne.

The event was supported by local property letting agencies, car dealerships and small businesses, and it also gave local vendors an opportunity to make some money.
