KINGFISHER BA
The Kingfisher Bowling Association’s Sevens League had wrapped up for the year.
The Bell won the men’s section, with Riverside runners-up. The team was (fours) Louw Vermeulen, Leon Sander, Jimmy Holtshausen, Steve O’Moore and (trips) Claude Ching, Ryan Keys and Louw Brits.
It was exactly the same scenario in the women’s section.
The Bell’s players were (fours) Sharolyn Dacey, Lindi Samuel, Gail Newby, Dina van der Walt and (trips) Mada Lindeque, Lyn Harris and Amanda Taylor.
In the KBA 2-Bowl Trips winners were Southbroom’s Cleve and Julie Walker with Mal Shepherd.
Runners-up were The Bell, Ann Swanepoel, Mada Lindeque and Clinton Knott.
In joint third were The Bell (Sharolyn Dacey, Keiron Dacey and Steve O’Moore) and Margate (Wayne and Maureen Muller, Deon van Schalkwyk).
On an interesting side note to the 2-Bowl Trips – the winners included a husband and wife team, runners-up were aunt and nephew Ann and Clinton, third also included a husband and wife, and the third placed Bell team was a mother, son and stepfather.
Good bowling to all the Master bowlers who will compete in the KBA Masters Singles at The Bell this weekend.

Marilyn Sheppard, Cleve Walker and Julie Walker of Southbroom Bowling Club won the Kingfisher Bowling Association’s 2-Bowl Open Trips competition played at Margate on Sunday.

THE BELL
What a week the club has had. The ladies B side and men’s A side won the KBA Sevens. The women’s team was Sharolyn Dacey, Lindi Samuel, Gail Newby, Dina van der Walt, Mada Lindeque, Lyn Harris and Amanda Taylor.
Men’s team was Louw Vermeulen, Leon Sander, Jimmy Holtshauzen, Steve O’Moore, Claude Ching, Ryan Keys and Louw Brits.
Well done also to Ann Swanepoel, Mada Lindeque and Clinton Knott for winning gold in the KBA 2-bowl trips, with Sharolyn Dacey, Keiron Dacey and Steve O’Moore joint third.
Members who are in hospital or at home ill are wished a speedy recovery.

HIBBERDENE
The drawn trips competitions, sponsored by Re/Max and Hibberdene Spar, were played on October 28 and November 4, respectively.
The Re/Max comp was won by Alida Munnik, Pauline Howle and Bez Bezuidenhout.
Runners-up were Jan Oosthuizen, Estelle Quinn and Div de Villiers. In third place were Roy Griffets, Bubbles Bezuidenhout and Joey Venter.
The Hibberdene Spar comp was won by Eddie Milne, Jenny Isemonger and Boet van der Merwe.
In second place were Alida Munnik, John Mett and Maureen du Toit with Alex Bukes, Sydney Bradbury and Amanda Boucher in third.
Next up is the Hibberdene Pharmacy comp this Friday (11th), drawn trips format.

MARGATE
The Re/Max Deon van Schalkwyk sponsored competition was won by Ron Vink and Trevor Prinsloo.
Runners-up were Gary Hess and Louis Heystek. Session winners were Ian Hutton and Paul Russell. Lucky draw was won by Louis Heystek.

TWENI
The Tweni Pharmacy pairs was won by Albert Munnik and Don Rossouw. Runners-up were Richard Cochman and Bob Moroney. Session prize went to Dumisani Madlala and Vernon Strauss.
