Good support for volleyball club’s golf fundraiser
Pro Vision Golf and Social Club assisted the volleyball club in organising their first golf day and what a success it was.
The Sideout Volleyball team hosted a successful golf day at Port Shepstone Country Club recently.
The event saw golfing families and sponsors spend a perfect day on the golf course.
With a field of 74 golfers, the day was a success for both golf and volleyball. Pro Vision Golf and Social Club assisted the volleyball club to organise the event.
Taking top honours were Roger ‘Easy Rider’ Eady and Gansen ‘Thaggedhe Le’ Appanna on 85 points. Runners-up were Vis Pillay and George Raman on 82 points. Jeevan Mahadhev and Thulani Xolo were in third place on 76.
Sideout thanks City Insurance Brokers for being its headline sponsor for its inaugural golf day.
The club’s chairman Ian Rajagopal said: “We are grateful to Prem Sewpersad and family for their contribution to the local volleyball fraternity. The volleyball club is also thankful to all the sponsors and business houses that contributed cash or prizes to our fundraising initiative. Even during these tough economic times our local businesses have dug deep and made sure our event was a success.”
He also thanked all volleyball club members for their hard work.
