Boxers to descend on Margate this Saturday

This is the third fight night to be held at Level 101 in Margate this year.

Eight clubs, consisting of 38 fighters in total, will descend on Margate for Colosseum Fight Night this Saturday, December 10.

The clubs arriving from Durban are Fraser Boyz, Knucklegame, Domination, Lions Den, Revolution Fitness, Silverbacks and Overcome, together with local club, Box360 from Margate.

From Box360, there will be 10 local fighters taking to the ring, be sure to keep our eyes on Olwethu Dlamini, Samantha J Cockcroft, Nasiphi Vellem, Dylan Rogers, Ricardo Shaw, Ethan Nidoo, Hendry Africa, Scott Uren and Tyronne du Toit.
Roland said that in life as well as in the boxing ring, one is often faced with many challenges, some that will test the limits of one’s willpower and determination.

“Undoubtedly, there will come times and situations that will scare us. But the difference between being a hero and a coward, according to the late, great Cus D’amato, is that the hero always chooses to face his fears head-on.”
Roland van Rooyen of Box360 said this will be the last fight night for the year and the experience the boxers have gained, will see some go pro next year.

“We can expect Margate to have many more massive events next year,” he said.
