Charles (74) bags gold at bodybuilding contest

Charles wishes to inspire his agemates to keep fit

Margate resident and Superbodies Margate bodybuilder, Charles Holtzhausen placed first in the men’s over 40s Masters Bodybuilders category at the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation’s (IFBB) Sunfest Bodybuilding Fitness Classic KZN held in Durban recently.

Charles said he was so excited about his achievement, as he had trained for five years.

The 74-year-old said he is grateful and hopes to be an inspiration to the elderly.
“It’s was my first time placing first in such a competition. I have entered two contests previously where I was successful, even though I did not win.

“Preparing for this competition took dedication, a strict diet and lots of training,” said Holtzhausen.
He thanked his trainer and sponsor Chantel Elliott and Co.
