Busy week at Sheppie

The course is playing lush after the rains and summer heat.

There’s been plenty on the go at Port Shepstone Country Club during the past week.

Lionel Peters and Allan Rowley won the Wednesday competition on 47 points, ahead of Sidney Shingange and Rob Calder on 43 points, who counted out Ewald Ziervogel and Dr Ayood Bux.

The business day at Port Shepstone Country Club last Friday was won on 93 points by Piet Fourie, Heber de Beer, Johan Neethling and Chris Nel.

They counted out Thulani Xolo, Thabani Ngcunganna, Sbu Ntozakhe and Jeevan Mahadev.

In third place on 91 points were Gavin van Wyk, Bruce Holmes, Ian Stewart and Allan Rowley.

The Monthly Mug last Saturday was won by Thys Blom on nett 73.

Terry Kotze won the Stableford on 36 points, with Nick Wattrus one point behind.
A division honours went to Paul Geoffery on nett 74, with Pete Govender on nett 75.

Daan Swanepoel won the B division on nett 73, two ahead of Gerald Koch.

Chris Boyce won the C division on nett 75, counting out Johann du Plessis.

Gavin van Wyk had the best gross, 82.
